Jericho under closure lasting 6 days is having a significant negative effect on Palestinian daily lives and Palestinian economy. Imposition of strict closure measures such as roadblocks, trenches, and military checkpoints is contributing to fragmentation of Palestinian people, making trips take longer, cost more and are more dangerous for Palestinian families in this cold weather. We call on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupying authorities to lift the movement and access restrictions on Jericho and all Palestinian villages.
